send 
除了有“寄”的意思，还有“派遣、打发”的意思，可以send somebody to do something.，而mail 则不能。

主要用于英式英语，和 mail 的意思和用法差不多，只是 post 作名词使用时，可解作“柱、杆、岗位、海报”等

英语post和send当然有区别。
先撇开post还有其它意思不管，即使但从发送角度来说也有区别。
post 从单词来看是和邮递有关，所以严格意义上是通过邮政系统来发送。
send 虽然也以邮递为主，但不局限于通过邮政系统来发送。比如可以自己雇人直接发送等等。
